My journey to build my dream home started a little over a year
ago. It all started with finding the Perfect Community and then
the Perfect Lot and then ultimately the Perfect
Builder/Construction Company. Being a single woman embarking on this journey and not even from the area, building my dream home in Calabash, NC was a very daunting thought! However, from the moment I stepped in Todd Helf's Office (Owner of Coastlife Housing) on Beach Drive in Calabash, NC I knew in my heart that he was the right man for the job in making my dream home a reality. From the very first meeting, Todd was professional, detail oriented and very clear about timing and costs. Throughout the entire process, he has been available for all questions and concerns and attended to every detail as requested. My many requests for changes to plans or additional work were always met with acceptance and willingness to change. What Todd also brings to the table along with over 25 years of experience are professionalism, knowledge, patience and a Team of Vendors who are Top Notch! His Team of Vendors including, Debbie Soucek of Carolina Creations, Deb Gaskins of Plantation Flooring, Ed and Mindy Hughes from of Crossroads Appliance, Chris Campbell from Bayside Electric Supply Gayle Michael from Longley Supply, Josh Majer of Palmetto Custom Woodworking, Mike of Quality Closets, Kevin the Electrician, Phillipe the Landscaper, Scott the Concrete guy, the Beautiful Connie Helf of Coastlife Housing Design Services and ALL the others that played a role in this project that I did not have the pleasure to meet personally, I would like to say a BIG THANK YOU to you all. They are truly some of the nicest, friendliest people I have ever met. They ALL were a pleasure to work with and the quality of their work is excellent, you will not be disappointed! It has been a real pleasure for me to have a company like Coastlife Housing to build my one and only dream home in Calabash, NC. It you are going to be build, build it with Todd Helf. Sincerely The Gamm’s Brunswick Plantation When we decided to build a home in Brunswick Plantation, we used Todd Helf as our builder. Since we were building a custom home, we could have used whoever we wanted. We choose Todd because of the great reputation he had with other homeowners in Brunswick Plantation. We were told that he stood by his work and made every effort to solve any problems that might be encountered. Todd offered a wide range of styles and floorplans to choose from with a wide range of prices to fit our budget. From the basic plan chosen, he would offer suggestions and made modifications you wanted, as many as was necessary, to get you the home you would be happy to live in. The vendors that he recommended and the people that worked for him were very helpful and professional. Todd also followed up for a year after our purchase to fix any issues or problems that surfaced. Finally, most importantly, Todd is a man of integrity and his word. He has a great work ethic. He really works with his homeowners and cares that they are satisfied.
